This is a snippet of Siri’s scentwork session from yesterday. Again, I learned a TON from just these few minutes, especially the places in which I can clean up my mechanics and be a little more precise with my movement. Very cool to see that in a low-stakes situation where it’s small and easy to remember what I need to look for next time.
- A little over 7 mins for this session
- Started the same way as last time - present only “hot” container (with the scent), then added the dead container for discrimination
- I’m inadvertently cuing the hot container
- I switch and am inadvertently cuing the dead container
- She responds to the cue both times
- Then she gets that the scent is salient
- I kept her session shorter because the new bag of pellets sucks and she was hinting at some aggression/resource guarding toward Fi (even for sucky pellets)
